Absolute Must-Watch Horror Movies You May Have Missed

A new wave of horror has made standout titles easier to find, but some of the genre’s best films still get overlooked. The roundup highlights three must-watch picks, starting with The Blackcoat’s Daughter, a supernatural psychological horror debut from director Oz Perkins. Set at Bramford Academy, an isolated all-girls Catholic boarding school in upstate New York, the story follows two students left behind on winter break as one is possessed and violence erupts across two timelines. The Invitation delivers social horror with escalating dread, centered on a dinner party orchestrated by a man’s ex-wife. Perfect Blue follows Mima Kirigoe, a J-pop star chasing acting roles under mounting industry pressure.
