All over for Sarah in Corrie as confessions and discoveries spell the end

Coronation Street spoilers for Wednesday, July 22 center on Sarah Platt’s collapse after evidence links her to Theo Silverton’s murder. Theo was killed earlier this year, and the series reveals Sarah as the culprit after she knocked him off scaffolding outside his flat with a metal pipe during a confrontation. She immediately enlisted Gary Windass for help, who advised her while disposing of the murder weapon, but their attempts to conceal the crime failed as pressure mounted. Earlier this week, Sarah was arrested after Theo’s blood was found on the outfit she wore that night. In tonight’s episode, Maria Connor discovers Gary had been lying, spotting him in the background of a selfie taken on the night of the murder. Gary confesses he helped dispose of the weapon and support Sarah’s alibi. Elsewhere, Todd Grimshaw struggles as Summer Spellman questions Sarah’s arrest; Todd then tells Summer what he knows, ending his friendship with Sarah. Kit Green urges Sarah to claim self-defence, but she refuses to risk Gary’s freedom.
