Alt.Latino: Tim, The Beatles and all of Brazil : NPR Music

Tim Bernardes’ music is being spotlighted in an NPR Music “Tiny Desk” episode tied to the outlet’s annual El Tiny takeover. The Brazilian singer-songwriter appears with a guest DJ-style segment where, instead of prepared picks, he revisits parts of his life and identity through songs. NPR’s Anamaria Sayre frames the episode as a musical tapestry from one of Brazil’s leading songwriter voices of the current era, blending Bernardes’ own work with influences from artists across Brazilian music history. Tracks mentioned include The Beatles, Os Mutantes, Milton Nascimento, Nelson Cavaquinho, Gilberto Gil, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and Caetano Veloso, alongside Bernardes’ “Realmente Lindo.”
