Ashland BalloonFest returns with rides, vendors and music

Ashland BalloonFest returns June 25-28, bringing hot air balloon launches alongside rides, music and family attractions in Ashland. Opening ceremonies featuring the Ashland Veteran's Color Guard begin at 6:15 p.m. June 25, followed by the first balloon lift off at 6:30 p.m. in memory of Dr. Mary MacDonald. The festival also includes a Kid Fun Zone, food and merchant tents, and Monster Truck rides ($10 per person) with Gearheart's Garage & 4×4. Helicopter rides on June 26 run $60 per person with Interpid helicopters, and tethered balloon rides cost $25 per person with Xclusive Balloons. Evening events include the Balloon Glow Encounter at 8:15 p.m. and OhioHealth Balloon Glow at 9:15 p.m. Live music features SB Music on June 25 and Emily Raff on June 26. Overall, the multi-day lineup blends aviation experiences with entertainment and community memorial elements.
