Best action film since Die Hard' with A-list cast on Film 4 tonight

“The Rock” (1996) is set to air tonight, September 5, at 9pm on Film4, described as a standout ’90s action thriller with an A-list cast. Directed by Michael Bay and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson, the film stars Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage, with Ed Harris also in the lead trio. Supporting cast includes Michael Biehn, William Forsythe, David Morse, John Spencer and Vanessa Marcil. The script is credited to David Weisberg, Douglas S Cook and Mark Rosner.
