A Sony Bravia Mini LED owner who bought a 55-inch TV for ₹150,031 and held a three-year Sony warranty plus a two-year extended warranty claims the company escalated into legal threats after refusing free repair. About 22 months after purchase, vertical green lines appeared. Sony’s technician reportedly labeled the issue “external damage” without a visible dent or crack and quoted ₹29,130 (about $307) for panel replacement, while allegedly not sharing a detailed technical report. The customer documented everything, built a site, and posted calls to avoid the product. Sony then sent a six-page notice demanding the site be removed, the domain surrendered, and an apology issued, or the company would pursue up to ₹5 crore in damages.
