Brunei photographers capture Kampong Batu Marang's traditional lifestyle
Brunei Darussalam Photography Association members recently staged an outdoor photography session in Kampong Batu Marang, Mukim Mentiri, with the Village Consultative Council. Led by association president Sulaiman Md Salleh, the session brought together seven members to document the village’s day-to-day life and traditional practices through photography. Planned subjects included repairing traditional bubu fish traps and fishing equipment, fishing with rambat nets, angling, and other routine activities. The group also captured children flying kites and playing traditional indoor games. The resulting images are intended for future publications, books, archives, and historical records. The activity also supports Visit Brunei Year 2027 and includes a follow-up sharing session to review and assess the photographs.
