Celebrity Traitors producer 'amazed by reaction' to show
xCruzo Brief
Studio Lambert chief executive Stephen Lambert says he’s been “amazed by the reaction” to the latest series of The Celebrity Traitors. Speaking to BBC Radio Oxford ahead of an event at the Schwarzman Centre in the city, Lambert said the format was created by “brilliant Dutch people” and that Studio Lambert secured the rights to produce UK and US versions. He highlighted the show’s appeal as “melodrama” built around dramatic irony, where viewers know who the traitors are earlier than the contestants. Lambert pointed to the record nine million live viewers for the launch of The Celebrity Traitors and cited the Alan Carr upset as part of the format’s “genius.”
