Colorado driver pleads guilty to felony charges following crash into wrestling team's bus

A Colorado driver, Andrew Logan Miller, has pleaded guilty to seven felony charges after a Dec. 6, 2025 crash that hit a school bus carrying the Grand Junction Central High School wrestling team. Prosecutors say Miller was speeding more than 40 mph over the limit on Kipling Avenue when his SUV collided with the bus as it turned left to reach the ramp to westbound 6th. Sixteen people were taken to hospitals, including 13 student-athletes and two coaches. Passenger Julio Vasquez-Gonzalez, 18, died five days later. Miller changed his plea on Sept. 10, entering guilty pleas to vehicular homicide-reckless driving, six counts of vehicular assault-reckless driving, and one misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment. Sentencing is set for Nov. 17 in Jefferson County.
