Netflix confirmed that Formula 1: Drive to Survive will return for a ninth season, covering the 2026 Formula 1 campaign. The docuseries premiered on the platform in 2019 and has been credited with boosting F1’s fan base, particularly in the United States. Netflix says the series delivers unprecedented access to the paddock and adds context to drivers’ lives off the track. Executive producers James Gay-Rees and Paul Martin from Box to Box said Season 9 will go “deeper than ever” into aspects of the sport. Expected storylines include Max Verstappen’s future, Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli leading the points race, and a controversial 2026 power-unit regulation change.
