Diaspo #461: Hasnaa Chadi builds bridges between Morocco and US through sports and music

Hasnaa Chadi, born August 26, 1987, grew up in Casablanca’s Bourgogne neighborhood and later built a life in the United States that connects education, music, sports and event management. After the death of her grandmother at age 11, she moved to the U.S. at 15 to support family responsibilities, working while learning English. At 17, she left her aunt’s home and took jobs including cashier work and making sandwiches. In 2009, she helped arrange a move for children’s father from Wydad Athletic Club to Seattle Sounders, marking her sports entry. She earned an associate degree at Northern Virginia Community College and studied at George Mason University, later expanding into music event production.
