Disney's Wednesday Clone Currently Has A Higher RT Score Than Jenna Ortega's Series

Despite Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday being one of Netflix’s biggest hits, a Disney-made “clone” has temporarily topped it with a higher Rotten Tomatoes critical score. The article says Disney’s Coven Academy, released after Disney tried to replicate Wednesday’s magic-school setup, has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of Oct. 7, 2026. It notes the show has a limited number of reviews compared with Wednesday, but that flawless mark remains notable. Coven Academy centers on teenage witches and warlocks at a school where students navigate crushes and social pressures while uncovering secrets. The piece also references positive commentary from Variety, Decider, and ScreenRant’s season 1 review.
