Don't worry about Gout Gout, says his famous rival Lachlan Kennedy

Gout Gout’s Diamond League debut in Oslo finished sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 20.20 seconds, a result rival Lachlan Kennedy called a rough start for an international season opener. Kennedy, a two‑time sub‑10 sprinter and training partner of Noah Lyles, will race head‑to‑head with him at the Ostrava Golden Spike in the Czech Republic over 150 meters on Wednesday. Kennedy, Australia’s second-fastest man of all time over 100 meters, is set to join the Commonwealth Games team next week and will contest the 100 meters and the relay, while Gout will skip the Commonwealth Games to focus on the World juniors in Eugene, Oregon.
