Dutton Ranch Star Says Season 1's Biggest Death Wasn't Their Character's Fault
A new interview around Dutton Ranch Season 1’s finale centers on who is responsible for Rob-Will Jackson’s death, with actor Juan Pablo Raba insisting it wasn’t his character’s fault. In the episode “El Padrino,” Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) defend their ranch from the Mexican drug kingpin Mariano Reyes (Raoul Max Trujillo). At 10-Petals Ranch, an unseen assailant shoots Rob-Will when he answers the door, and the main suspect is Joaquin Reyes, Rob-Will’s adopted brother. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Raba argues the timing is inconclusive, pointing to a timeline where the shot occurs less than 30 seconds after Rob-Will says goodbye to Oreana. He also notes Joaquin was portrayed as “soft,” and suggests multiple parties may be involved.
