Emmerdale and Coronation Street to see TV schedule change this week

ITV has adjusted the broadcast schedules for “Emmerdale” and “Coronation Street” this week because the National Television Awards (NTAs) are taking over the usual soap time slots. The 2026 NTAs run from 8:00pm to 10:30pm on Tuesday, Sept. 8, overlapping with both shows. While most airings are expected to follow normal routines, viewers will miss one episode this week, as there is currently no Sunday installment for either soap. “Coronation Street” is nominated for Serial Drama, with Sue Devaney and Gareth Pierce shortlisted for Serial Drama Performance.
