EXCLUSIVE: 'Ted Lasso' Star Juno Temple Had Her Own Hilarious Keeley Moment During the World Cup

Juno Temple turned a World Cup trip into a “full circle” moment after seeing her own “Ted Lasso” work reflected in real life. While staying at a hotel, she said she switched on the TV and watched one of her commercials, recalling that fans may remember a similar scene in season one where her character Keeley promotes Liverpool on a hotel screen. Temple told TODAY.com that she was in Los Angeles briefly and staying at the Sunset Tower Hotel when the Chase ad played, leading her to realize “that’s me.” She described the experience as “crazy” and said it mirrored the show’s premise. The Chase Sapphire Reserve campaign she stars in also features footballer Myles Garrett and Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, and it includes Temple helping explain soccer to American audiences. She also attended Argentina’s 3-1 win over Switzerland on July 11.
