Fashion retailer back on high street after collapse - all stores closed in 2020

Evans, a prominent fashion brand, returns to the high street after a collapse that shuttered all stores in 2020. Retail is the parent company of Yours Clothing and also owns Long Tall Sally and M&Co. After a six-year hiatus, Evans re-enters physical retail by operating as concessions inside more than 50 Yours Clothing locations across the UK and Ireland, with 36 stores receiving major upgrades to feature permanent Evans-branded sections. Evans originated in 1930 as Evans Outsize, becoming part of the Burton Group and later the Arcadia Group before transitioning to a public company. The revival signals a strategic reshaping of plus-size fashion in mainstream outlets.

The concession model leverages Yours Clothing’s footprint to deliver dedicated plus-size ranges, highlighting a renewed emphasis on inclusive fashion and accessible retail.
