Netflix’s spy thriller “Black Doves” returns for a second season that leans into nonstop momentum, sharp dialogue, and a personal-stakes plot. Keira Knightley stars as Helen, a covert “Black Dove” facing marital strain with Wallace (Andrew Buchan), who is preparing for a London defense summit tied to heightened security and surveillance. Her handler Reed (Sarah Lancashire) is responsible for his assignment, while Helen’s mentor and assassin Sam (Ben Whishaw) is offered freedom if he kills four targets. After his first hit, he learns the victim was another Black Dove, pulling his life deeper into the group’s crosshairs.
