From the Heart: A truly delightful evening - hurry up and go!

Don Black’s From the Heart played Garrick Theatre in London on August 10, 2026, celebrating the lyricist behind many modern classics. The show, curated by Don’s son Clive Black, links songs through Black’s own recorded narration and frames the work around the “emotional core” of his writing. Performed in an off-Broadway-style cabaret atmosphere, the program pairs five featured singers—Clive Rowe, Michael D. Xavier, Caroline O’Connor, Shona McGarty and Frances Mayli McCann—with a mystery guest. The set included material spanning love, grief and career pressures, and a James Bond film medley. Michael Ball appeared as a mystery guest, singing “Love Changes Everything.”
