German TV Brand Loewe leo Wins EISA Headphone Title; JBL Xtreme 5 Adopts Bluetooth 6 First

Loewe, a German electronics brand known for TVs and radios, has won EISA’s 2026-2027 awards with its leo over-ear headphones, while JBL’s Xtreme 5 was named the best portable Bluetooth speaker. EISA says the Loewe leo stands out for using a desktop-grade Texas Instruments OPA1622 SoundPlus operational amplifier—an analog Class AB design—inside a 360g anodized aluminum headphone frame. The JBL Xtreme 5 is recognized as the first mass-market portable speaker shipping with Bluetooth 6.0 and Auracast, enabling multi-speaker broadcast without the pairing limits of earlier proprietary systems.
