Gone Fishing's Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer on The One Show

Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer paid tribute to the late TV dog Ted during an appearance on BBC’s The One Show on Thursday. The visit came just days after Whitehouse was attacked by a thug in broad daylight while using a cashpoint in busy central London, in Islington, according to footage cited by the Daily Mail. However, during the interview he did not mention the incident. Instead, the duo discussed Ted’s final role in their series, Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, which returns for series nine this coming Sunday at 9pm. Ted first appeared in 2020 and earned a Lifetime Achievement Award in the 2025 Christmas Special.
