Hit TV series to return to BBC this month 34 after since it first aired

Red Dwarf V is set to return to BBC Two later this summer, with live broadcasts starting Thursday, August 13, more than three decades after the original series aired. The sitcom, originally broadcast in 1992 as the fifth series, took the comedy in a darker direction, and fans have often cited that run as among the show’s best. The franchise started on BBC Two from 1988 to 1999 and later returned via Dave from 2009 to 2020.
