Hollywood to Open Waiting List for Housing Program on November 13
The Hollywood Housing Authority (HHA) will open a preliminary waiting list for its housing program on Friday, Nov. 13. Registration will be handled entirely by phone, limited to the first 75 applicants available, according to a notice posted on the HHA website. Calls will be accepted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the list will close once 75 names are registered. The authority says no in-person visits will be allowed and only one name per phone call. The phone number to register is 754-355-3066, with a separate TTY/TDD line at 754-355-3067 for applicants with hearing or speech disabilities. Callers must have their full name, address, phone number, Social Security number, and date of birth. Preference goes to those living or working within city limits. The notice contains a terminology mismatch—its heading references a “Public Housing Program for Families” while the body refers to a “Section 8 Preliminary Waiting List,” and the HHA does not clarify which program the opening covers.
