The 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) has revealed its Korean Cinema Today and On Screen lineups, including Na Hong-jin’s thriller Hope in a nine-film program spanning Panorama and Special Premiere. Hope, already selected for competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, stars Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Hoyeon, Taylor Russell, Cameron Britton, Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender. The Panorama section also includes world premieres: Yoon Dan-bi’s The World Before, and returning-screen veteran Kim Hye-ja in Still Shining by Song Il-gon. In Special Premiere, BIFF will host world debuts of Cattle Run, Sapiens and The Sorry Generation, while On Screen presents Netflix’s Dead-End Job and Disney+’s The Remarried Empress.
