Instagram offers creators up to $500,000 for longform videos
Instagram is reportedly offering select creators deals worth up to $500,000 to post longer videos under its new “Features” format. Business Insider, citing sources familiar with the agreements, said some offers start around $50,000 while others reach six figures, and that the deals reportedly don’t require exclusivity. One source said Instagram is asking creators to upload longform videos they publish on YouTube to Instagram on the same day. Meta said it is funding Features content with some creators, while details remain confidential. Features allows uploads up to 90 minutes, emphasizing horizontal video for phones, computers, and TVs. Instagram is testing Features in the U.S. and Brazil, and is positioning the offering to better compete with YouTube’s reach and established creator payments.
