Ipswich musician's stolen guitar spotted for sale in pawn shop
xCruzo Brief
Joshua Locke, an Ipswich guitar teacher, has been reunited with his Ibanez RRG350 after it was spotted for sale in a pawn shop. The guitar, which he received as an 18th birthday present, was stolen from his garage on 9 July 2024 along with two other guitars and a bike. Locke told Suffolk Police and appealed online but received no leads for two years. Then an old school friend sent him a photo showing the six-string for £300. Police retrieved it the next day. Locke identified it through a wooden headstock pattern he made himself, plus personal modifications and wear.
