Jerry Garcia's Rare Original Art Book Returns to Print for His Birthday

Terrapin Stationers and the Jerry Garcia Music Arts team up to reprint Jerry Garcia Music Arts’ acclaimed art book, J.Garcia: Paintings, Drawings and Sketches, in honor of Garcia’s birthday. The original edition first appeared in 1992. While Garcia is known worldwide as the Grateful Dead’s longtime lead vocalist and guitarist, the book spotlights his work as a visual artist, including a dedication from Jerry to his wife, “For Manasha, with love, Jerry.” The release story cites a 1987 moment when Garcia shared a sketch with Manasha, which she encouraged him to sign—leading him to autograph his art and carry sketchbooks on tour.
