Josh Hartnett fights a mysterious sea creature in Netflix limited series 'Below' coming October 2026

Netflix has unveiled the first preview for Below, a six-part limited series starring Josh Hartnett. The story centers on Calvin Penney, a stubborn, big-hearted Newfoundland fisherman haunted for decades by the mysterious death of his father. When an unidentified sea creature begins terrorizing Calvin’s town, he must protect his close-knit community and his son, Wade, played by Charlie Heaton. Calvin teams up with a visiting marine researcher, Mackenzie Davis, to confront the creature and uncover secrets buried on the island. Below premieres on Netflix on Oct. 8, 2026.
