Linux PC was sluggish for no obvious reason -- Claude helped me revive it

A Linux Mint user traced surprising performance drops to storage and snapshot buildup, using command-line tools and Claude help. After running df -h, he found his hard drive was at 94% capacity used. A disk analyzer (baobab) showed Flatpak repo data at about 5GB and Docker occupying more than 30GB, prompting removals and pruning. The real slowdown, he reports, involved Timeshift and a few gaming utilities. With Claude’s guidance, he cut Timeshift frequency to three instances per week from five per day, but old snapshots still weren’t purged—leaving 56.8GB consuming space.
