Melanie C will bring her album Sweat to Chicago on a date this September as part of a 25-city North American tour. In an interview with Windy City Times, the former Sporty Spice described “Sweat” as a dance-focused title track that samples Diana Ross’ “Work That Body,” and said her newer single “Drum Machine,” premiered in May, pairs strong vocals with a distinctive beat. Sweat debuted at No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart and is her highest-charting solo project. Chisholm also discussed her support within LGBTQ+ circles, including guest judging RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World in 2021 and DJing at OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride in 2026. She said she’s only four shows into the run but noted crowd favorites like “Pressure” and “Flick of the Wrist.”
