Netflix’s new thriller, The Secret Woman, has quickly turned into the platform’s biggest non-English movie hit. The story follows Louise Andersen (Natalie Madueño), who lives quietly on Norway’s Hidra with her boyfriend, Joachim. When a stranger tells her she isn’t really Louise, the truth unravels: she is Helene Söderberg, a Danish woman missing for three years, married to Edmund Söderberg (Claes Bang) and mother to a wealthy family’s son.
