New Netflix drama set to be next 'brutal' Heated Rivalry

A new Netflix drama, Crew Girl, is set to arrive next month and is being pitched as a potential breakout after-summer series. Netflix has released a first-look trailer and stills, and the early footage suggests intense on-screen passion, fierce rivalry, and possibly teen wrongdoing. The show centers on 16-year-old Teagan Tao, an emerging single-sculls talent whose future is derailed by a family scandal. Forced to move to the East Coast, she enrolls at elite Easton Prep, only to find there’s no girls’ rowing team. Her route back to the water comes by becoming coxswain of the school’s famously chaotic boys’ varsity crew, where inherited wealth and ruthless competition shape her challenge. All eight episodes launch September 10.
