Trump Considers Transforming Freedom 250 Concert into Grand MAGA Rally - Internewscast Journal

President Donald Trump signaled a shift in the planned Freedom 250 program, proposing to replace the scheduled concerts with a massive MAGA rally to mark the United States’ 250th birthday. In a post on Truth Social, he urged organizers to cancel the Freedom 250 performances tied to the Great American State Fair after several artists pulled out of the event on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where the celebration runs from June 25 to July 10, 2026, spanning from the Capitol to the Washington Monument. He criticized what he described as a biased federal judge’s ruling over his involvement with the Kennedy Center.

Since then, multiple performers have withdrawn from Freedom 250’s lineup, including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, Morris Day and The Time, and C+C Music Factory, while Vanilla Ice has said he is honored to participate. Trump also floated delivering a keynote address and a June 24 kickoff rally to energize supporters ahead of the fair. Freedom 250 later announced that Trump would deliver a speech prior to the event, with spokeswoman Danielle Alvarez confirming an opening ceremony on June 24 to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
