Popular supernatural series gets Netflix spinoff
Netflix has greenlit a spinoff of the supernatural drama Manifest, titled Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery. The announcement came Friday, Aug. 28, also known as 8/28 day. The original series ran on NBC from 2018 to 2021 and was canceled after three seasons. Netflix later revived it with a fourth and final season, released in 2023. Both shows center on unexplained time-displacement mysteries involving missing flights. In Manifest, Montego Air Flight 828 returns after more than five years gone; in Arrivals, a plane crash-lands in Denver and passengers wake with no memories. Jeff Rake co-created the spinoff with Margaret Easley and Laura Putney. Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas star in Manifest; Arrivals has an all-new cast, with no details yet.
