Roku quietly adds new free live TV channels for customers

Roku has quietly expanded The Roku Channel to include more than 500 free live channels, with four new sports channels launching this week. FIFA Plus Women is available on channel 5243 and FIFA Plus Español on 929, while Sports Illustrated appears on channel 227 and Stingray Hooked on 5306, all on the ad-supported Roku Channel. The service also previously added free channels in April, such as Rawhide reruns, The Beverly Hillbillies, Ink Master, Tosh.0, and MTV en Español. The Roku Channel offers movies, shows, live news, and kids’ content without subscriptions.

Roku reported Q1 platform revenue up 28% year over year, driven by ads and smaller subscription inflows, while its stock traded around $127.71 per share on Tuesday afternoon.
