Rosalía on "Lux" and her devotion to music

Rosalía sat down at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House to discuss her global tour for “Lux,” Latin for light, after its release. She said the setting captures “concentrated” energy and highlighted “Berghain,” a track inspired by 12th-century mystic Hildegard of Bingen, featuring an orchestra and booming choir, alongside appearances from Björk. Rosalía, 34, described the tour as more demanding than any previous one, including performing en pointe and singing in Japanese, Ukrainian, Catalan and Arabic, with lyrics in 14 languages. She said “Lux” tells stories of female saints and mystics, and that she spent two years refining the album, with small differences between digital and vinyl versions.
