Should You Keep The Box Your TV Came In?
xCruzo Brief
If your TV arrived in a large cardboard shipping box, keeping that packaging is usually worth it while the warranty is still active. Electronics can fail out of the box, and having the original box can make returns easier. The advice also applies if you bought the TV from Costco, especially if you plan to use any extended warranty benefits. Keeping the box can help if you might resell the TV later, for example when living somewhere temporarily, potentially allowing you to get a better price and avoid transport risks. For long-term storage, flatten the box and store it properly to reduce mold, fire and insect hazards. If you no longer need them, you still don’t have to throw boxes away immediately.
