Siddhant Chaturvedi, Alizeh, Jimmy Shergill's 1990s British Punjabi Music Drama 'Bolo Bolo Bolo,' Directed by Vikas Bahl, Wraps U.K. Shoot (EXCLUSIVE)

Vikas Bahl has completed filming in the U.K. on Bolo Bolo Bolo, a coming-of-age musical drama set in the early 1990s during the boom of Punjabi music in Britain. The movie stars Jimmy Shergill, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Mona Singh and Alizeh. Katha Studios is producing the project with Good Co, Fusion Flicks and Monk Films. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas in 2027. Set against a changing British cultural backdrop, the story follows young musicians mixing Punjabi beats with modern, bass-heavy production, often in garages, other makeshift spaces, and through unlicensed radio broadcasts. Alongside family and friendship, it explores identity and the search for belonging. A soundtrack will draw on the decade’s defining sounds.
