Spotify launches its first global music video chart
Spotify launches its first global music video chart, giving video streams their own ranking and positioning the platform as a daily destination for clips. On Tuesday, July 21, Spotify debuted a Global Music Video Chart that lists the 50 most-watched videos on the service each day. The chart refreshes daily at 6 p.m. ET and is hosted in Spotify’s Charts and Music Video Playlists hubs, with the top 10 highlighted every Tuesday on the company’s social channels. Artists can also pitch new videos to Spotify’s editorial team for the first time, with potential inclusion in collections such as Best New Videos, Live Performances, and Today’s Top Videos. The push follows broader music video expansion, including full-length uploads and personalized recommendations. Shakira and Burna Boy claimed the inaugural No. 1 with “Dai Dai,” tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after surpassing 130 million streams.
