Suspect with AR-style gun shoot at person walking in Silver Spring parking lot: Police

Police are searching for a suspect after a shooting occurred over a month ago in a Silver Spring parking lot, authorities said. The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) reported the incident happened shortly after 7:45 p.m. on May 30 in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard. Investigators said the victim was walking through the lot when two people, one carrying an AR-style gun, began shooting. After the attack, the two suspects reportedly entered a silver SUV driven by a third person and fled the area. Police said the victim was not struck by gunfire. As of Thursday morning, descriptions of the three individuals involved had not been released, though all were described as male.
