The series received an order for 10 new episodes in December 2025, and production is now underway after months of uncertainty. Posts from cast members including James Jordan indicate the Landman team has returned to work, bringing Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris back after Season 2’s finale reshaped his role in the oil business. However, filming reportedly started in September and is expected to run through the first quarter of 2027, pushing the earliest realistic premiere window to 2027.
