Tebas's Real Madrid TV comments draw CSD review
Spain’s Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) is reportedly reviewing whether to act ex officio over remarks by LaLiga president and Spanish federation vice-president Javier Tebas about Real Madrid TV. The development, reported by Mundo Deportivo on 17 October and attributed to EFE, describes an examination of possible steps rather than a confirmed disciplinary case or sanction. Tebas made the comments on Friday 16 October, comparing Real Madrid TV’s communication methods to propaganda techniques used in Nazi Germany, while saying the comparison referred to those techniques rather than ideology or Real Madrid supporters. Real Madrid demanded Tebas resign immediately and criticized the remarks. Tebas later wrote on X that he was surprised by the news and asked the CSD to consider the full context and relevant precedents.
