The 'king of instruments': Olson Chapel pipe organ in need of new home

Olson Chapel’s Casavant Frères organ, composed of just over 1,300 pipes and built in 1980 as Opus 3464, has fallen silent as Trinity International University’s Bannockburn campus transitions to a youth sports hub under new ownership by the Donato Foundation. The electro-pneumatic instrument, valued for its exposed pipes and aesthetic, is considered historic at just over 45 years old. The foundation acquired the campus in January and plans to keep the chapel largely intact for now while seeking a suitable new home for the organ, potentially appealing to churches, music programs, or schools.
