Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre Is Moving to the West End │ Exclaim!

Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre says it will keep operating after postponing a planned closure to manage a “seamless transition” to a new venue. Pending city approval, the longtime space at 410 Sherbourne Street will relocate to 1605 Queen Street West, currently known as event space Parkdale Hall. The Phoenix will retain its name and its 1,350-person capacity. During the approval period, both venues will continue hosting shows in their original locations. While no move date has been announced, the venue plans to keep programming on Sherbourne into 2027. The change followed early 2025 closure plans linked to proposed residential development for the Cabbagetown lot, later allowing operations through 2026.
