Vance's mother Beverly Vance addresses 'Hillbilly Elegy' movie pay and if a sequel is possible

Beverly Vance, the mother of Vice President J.D. Vance, says she’s satisfied with what she ultimately earned for Netflix’s 2020 film adaptation of Hillbilly Elegy. Speaking on OutKick’s Tomi Lahren is Fearless, she said studio executives initially tried to pay her less, but she declined the low offer. The movie, starring Amy Adams as Beverly Vance and Glenn Close as her mother, is based on J.D. Vance’s 2016 memoir. When Lahren asked whether she made enough, Vance reiterated that she was “happy with what I made.” On a possible sequel, she pointed to her son’s decision, adding it could show her long-term recovery.
