Why Diddy Is Now Countersuing The Man Who Accused Him Of Sexual Assault

Sean “Diddy” Combs is countersuing Rodney Jones, the man who sued him for sexual assault, according to court claims reported by Us Weekly. Jones filed his lawsuit in February 2024, and many allegations were dismissed in March 2025. In the countersuit, Combs accuses Jones of stealing and selling footage used in 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary series, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning.” The filing alleges Jones accessed video during a trip to St. Barts in 2022 with multiple videographers, then took another cameraman’s footage. It also claims Jones illegally sold it to Netflix. Combs’ team says he didn’t know the footage was taken until the documentary’s release.
