Why Mark's Best Friend, William, Was Recast For Invincible Season 4
A casting change in Invincible season 4 has affected William Clockwell, Mark Grayson’s best friend, with fans noticing a different voice in episode 4, “Hurm.” For the first three seasons, William was voiced by Andrew Rannells, but in season 4 the role was recast to Brandon Scott Jones, known for Ghosts and Renfield. The creators did not provide an official announcement, and Rannells said he was not fully aware of the reason, telling The Direct at the red carpet premiere of Miss You, Love You that it may have involved “a little restructuring.” Rannells added he was grateful to have been part of seasons 1–3. The series has recast voice roles before, including Titan and Robot, but the shift has still fueled campaigns for Rannells’ return in season 5.
