All Randomized Pediatric Patients to Continue in the Single-Blind Extension Phase of Jaguar Health's Pivotal Clinical Trial of Crofelemer for Microvillus Inclusion Disease (MVID) with Intestinal Failure (IF)
Jaguar Health’s (NASDAQ: JAGX) partner Napo Pharmaceuticals says all randomized pediatric patients with microvillus inclusion disease (MVID) in its pivotal crossover trial have entered a single-blind extension phase to continue receiving blinded crofelemer dosing. The company expects the ongoing study to support a new drug application (NDA) filing for MVID in mid-2027. The trial is running at multiple sites in the United States, the European Union, and the United Arab Emirates. Crofelemer is being studied as oral adjunctive therapy to parenteral support (PS) for children who cannot absorb enough nutrients and often need lifelong total parenteral nutrition. Napo said recent interim data presented in June 2026 showed reductions in weekly PS needs without significant clinical or laboratory issues.
