Boston Scientific said a cyberattack is disrupting its global operations, including systems used to process and ship customer orders. The company discovered the incident on Tuesday and reported in a Wednesday securities filing that it continues to affect business while it works to restore operations. Boston Scientific said it has engaged outside cybersecurity experts to investigate the attack and “contain the threat.” The filing warned of ongoing disruptions and limited access to certain information systems and business applications supporting order processing and shipping. A full restoration timeline is still unknown. Shares fell as much as 6% in early trading. The healthcare sector is a major target for ransomware, per BlackFog’s 2025 report.
