Catholic Nuns Sue Illinois: Controversial End-of-Life Law Slammed for 'Pushing' Patients Toward Suicide

Religiosas católicas en Illinois presentaron una demanda federal contra la nueva ley estatal End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act, conocida como Deb’s Law. El caso, presentado el 3 de septiembre de 2026 en el U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, busca impugnar disposiciones que obligarían a proveedores de salud que se oponen a informar y derivar a pacientes para recibir ayuda médica para morir. La ley entraría en vigor el 12 de septiembre. Entre los demandantes figuran el cardenal Blase J.
